Slideshow
We offer two ways to share your slideshow.
The admin link allows anyone who has the link to moderate, remote control, and design the slideshow from any device. You can revoke the admin link access by removing the link or creating a new one. The admin link is part of the Plus, Professional and Premier plan.
The public link allows anyone to view the slideshow, without taking any control over the slideshow. The public link is part of the Professional and Premier plan.
Please note that you should only share the link with people you trust. We don't recommend sharing it publicly.We check for new posts every minute in the Plus, Professional and Premier plan and every two minutes in the Basic plan. We also check if posts have been updated, such as if there are new likes and comments. The update frequency is controlled by how old the post is.
Please note that the update time can become slower if you have multiple different slideshows running at the same time with feed from the same platform. This can happen if we hit the API rate limit on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. We're not allowed to send too many requests at once from a single user. You can run one slideshow and the associated sub-slideshows on multiple devices without having to worry about update time.Not at this time, but we recommend that you only play one slideshow at a time.

Remote control allows you to control and interact with your slideshow from any device.
For example during your event you could send an announcement, image or video to the slideshow from your mobile phone. You can also pause the slideshow, move to previous and next post, fade the screen to black, play games and more.
Yes, you can add multiple hashtags from Instagram and Twitter. You can also combine it with Facebook Pages & Groups, Dropbox folders, Google Drive folders and Google Photos albums.
Not at this time. The Facebook API doesn't allow third party apps to fetch posts from your timeline or news feed. We are only able to fetch posts from Facebook Pages and Groups.
Not at this time. We are only able to fetch public posts from Instagram and Twitter.
We recommend using a unique hashtag or creating a private Facebook Group. You can also allow people to upload posts directly to your slideshow through Slidesome.
There's no expiration date at this time. Your slideshow will use the default settings if the Plus, Professional or Premier plan are no longer active.
Yes. Visit the designer for your slideshow and click on Settings. There you'll find a checkbox Enable sound on videos that you need to enable.
Yes. Visit the designer for your slideshow and click on Settings. There you'll find a checkbox Play videos until the end that you need to enable.
We don't support music at this time. We recommend that you use a media player such as Spotify on the device that is running the slideshow.
There can be multiple reasons for why posts are not showing up in your slideshow.
- Please make sure that the start date for your feeds is not set in the future, because we don't collect posts that were posted before the start date. The start date for feeds can be configured under Feeds for your slideshow.
- If you have relative time enabled for your feeds then it might be excluding posts that were posted before the relative time. Click on Feeds for your slideshow to configure it.
- Do you have moderation configured to block all posts by default? Check if you can find posts in the Manage Posts page for your slideshow.
- Make sure that you have added a feed to your slideshow.
- Not seeing posts from an Instagram hashtag? We can only fetch Instagram posts from users who have their Instagram profile set to public.
- Not seeing posts from a Twitter hashtag? Make sure that the tweets were posted within the last 7 days, as we can't fetch older tweets unless you request for it in our Premier plan. Twitter can also reject certain posts from showing up in the hashtag search if they detect sensitive information in the tweet, or if your Twitter account is brand new and has not been verified. Most browsers like Google Chrome have a policy to not autoplay videos with sound unless you have interacted with the website first. It's usually enough to interact with the website to fix this issue. You can also disable Google Chrome's autoplay policy by setting the Chrome flag Autoplay Policy to No user gesture is required by entering this URL in the address bar: chrome://flags/#autoplay-policy
We support most video formats that the browsers can play, such as: .mp4, .mpg, .avi, .mpeg, .webm and .mov. Example video formats that we don't support: .wmv
You can use the spacebar to pause and resume the slideshow, left and right arrows to switch between previous or next posts, escape to exit the full screen and the F key or the F11 key to enter full screen.
Absolutely! Open the Feeds page for your slideshow and then click on the feed that you would like to add text filters to. Then click on the Feed filters and settings button and under Text filters you can add one or more filters separated by comma. The comma works like or, so if you enter moon,earth then only posts with the word moon or earth will be displayed.
Here's an example, I have a feed from the hashtag #space but I only want to show posts that have the words Moon or Jupiter in them. Simply enter moon,jupiter and the feed will now only show posts that have either of those words. You can also use phrases and hashtags.
You can use AND between two words or phrases. For example: earth AND moon will only show posts that have both the words earth and moon in them. You can also do more complex filters such as: earth AND moon,jupiter this will require posts to have the words earth and moon in them or the word jupiter.
And finally you can do exact matches with double quotes. For example "space" will not match spaceship or workspace.
We recently added support for adding global filters to the slideshow link. Click on Share for your slideshow and under Public link you'll be able to add filters to the link.

You can currently only download individual photos in the slideshow Manage Posts page.
Sub-slideshows are ideal if you want to create multiple different customization or text filters for a single slideshow. For example, you could create a special sub-slideshow that is optimized for vertical screens and then another sub-slideshow optimized for horizontal screens, or you could create a sub-slideshow that has different settings or themes, e.g. only display the newest 10 posts for a special screen or disable the information post, etc.
Another great use case is for schools or businesses that have a user feed from their Twitter account and want to have different text filters for different screens, e.g. #year2 to display posts for second grade. Previously you would have to create many different slideshows with the same feed, which could cause the update time to decrease due to high number of requests made to the Twitter API, but sub-slideshows solve that issue entirely.
Please note that the moderation, custom posts, remote control and live feeds are shared with all of the sub-slideshows.

- "space",alien - posts that have the exact word space or the text alien in them will enter your slideshow. Posts that have the word spaceship will not match but alien will match aliens and alienware.
Your friend's Instagram profile needs to be public.
Instagram doesn't allow third party applications like Slidesome to see posts from private profiles. You could create a private Facebook Group or have your friend set his Instagram profile temporarily to public.
Will I lose any features if I convert my personal account to a Creator or Business account on Instagram?
Once you have linked a Facebook Page to your Instagram Creator or Business account, you'll only be able to share your Instagram posts to Facebook through that Page. You will not be able to share directly to other Facebook Pages or to your Facebook profile.
Please note: You can always convert your Creator or Business account back to a personal account at any time.
Follow these steps:
- Open your Instagram profile on your mobile device and tap
- Tap
Settings which is usually located at the bottom of the screen
- Tap Account
- Tap Switch to professional account
- Connect your Instagram account to an existing or new Facebook Page that you are admin of. This step is required in order for Slidesome to find your Instagram Creator or Business account.
- Tap done
Follow these steps:
- Open your Instagram profile on your mobile device and tap
- Tap
- Tap Account
- Tap Switch back to personal account
- In the window that appears, tap Switch to personal account to confirm your changes
We have instructions in our blog on how to add hashtag feed from Instagram. You need to convert your personal Instagram account to a Creator or Business account.
Users that post to the slideshow do not need to have a Business or a Creator account, but they need to have their account privacy set to public, otherwise we are not able to find their hashtagged posts.
Facebook and Instagram recently closed access to personally identifiable information on public posts. This affects all third party applications.

We recently added the ability to request for hashtagged tweets back in time for Premier accounts. Learn more
The standard Twitter API platform has a limitation where it only returns hashtagged tweets that are at most week old. However, we will store references to all tweets that we have previously fetched, this means that if you used Slidesome for your event, then all of the tweets will be available in your slideshow. This limitation doesn't apply to user feed and user mentions.
If you want to fetch hashtagged tweets from a user feed then you can go beyond the week limit.
We recently added support for fetching hashtagged tweets back in time. We only allow Premier accounts to request this once per month for a single slideshow. The reason we limit this request once per month is because Twitter has very strict limits on how often we can search for tweets back in time. Please feel free to contact us for more details.
Facebook recently closed access to Facebook Events for all third party applications.
We have regained access to Facebook Groups but Facebook Events is still not accessible. We will make an announcement once we have more information to share about Facebook Events.

- Visit your Facebook Group in a browser
- Click on ... More below your Group cover photo and click on Edit Group Settings
- Next to Apps, click Add Apps.
- In the search field enter Slidesome and click on it in the search results.
- And finally click on Add
Then you can create or edit your slideshow and add your Facebook Group.
You may need to update the Facebook Groups permission for Slidesome.
Visit https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools or https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications&ref=settings and click on View and edit for Slidesome.
A modal dialog opens up, scroll down to Authored posts and comments in groups and find your Group in that list. Make sure that your Group is checked and click on Save.
- Sign in to Google Drive with the same Google account that is connected to your Slidesome account
- Find the folder that you want to display in your slideshow.
- Right click on it and click on Share. A dialog will open, and on the bottom right corner of it click on Advanced.
- Under Who has access, change Private - Only you can access to On - Anyone with the link. Click on Save
Please note that anyone who has a link to the files in the folder can view or download them. No sign-in is required.
Make sure to only share your slideshow with people you trust. You can always revoke this permission by changing it back to private.
Designer
Yes. Visit the designer page for your slideshow, click on Info Post and then click on the Background tab. If you want the image or video to fit then use the aspect ratio 16:9.
Common resolutions are 1024×576, 1152×648, 1280×720, 1366×768, 1600×900, 1920×1080, 2560×1440 and 3840×2160.
We recommend disabling the information post and creating a custom post instead. You have more control over custom posts, such as how long they should be displayed and more.
The Slidesome logo can only be removed in the Professional and Premier plan, and you can upload your own logo in the Premier plan. Visit the designer page, click on Header and then click on Hide header.
The Publish Changes button publishes the design changes to your live slideshow that is running. This means that you can change the design for your slideshow while its running on another device, without having to refresh the website.

We offer monthly and annual subscriptions. You can save two months on the annual subscription.
We offer event pricing, which is a one-time purchase that gives you access to the Plus, Professional or the Premier plan for 3 days.
You can try out all the plans by activating the one hour trial. Feel free to contact us if you need more time.
You can pay with Debit and Credit cards for one-time purchases and subscriptions. We also offer paying with PayPal.
Adding posts through Slidesome
We recently released our Slidesome Companion App, which is available for both Android and iOS devices. It allows your guests or users to post photos and videos directly to your slideshow.
Like with other live feeds, it can take up to 2 minutes in the Basic plan, and up to one minute in the Plus, Professional and Premier plan. Please note that sometimes it might take a while for Google to process newly uploaded videos.
Only 20 posts can be directly uploaded to your slideshow in the Basic plan, 100 in the Plus plan and unlimited in the Professional and Premier plan. Also make sure that your connected Google Drive has sufficient space. In some rare occasions Google might limit how often a video is viewed publicly if it's large in size.
Account
Visit the Profile page under Account and scroll to the bottom of the page. Under Delete account click on Delete my account
